It's almost Cookie Walk time again and it's time to start digging out the old recipes. To help with baking this year, we will be having a few baking parties at the church. This will help those of us who have small kitchens and are baking the quantities of cookies that we need. Remember, we must have at least 8 dozen of each kind of cookie that will be donated.

The baking party dates will be November 16 at 6:30 p.m., November 17 at 10 a.m. and November 18 at 1p.m. after the board meeting.

Please contact Melanie Doyle to coordinate your baking needs.

Hospitality PDF Print E-mail

Thank you so much to those who came forward and volunteered to do hospitality. Please follow their example and say YOU will help. We still need many more people to fill the schedule for the next few months and on. Many hands make light work as the saying goes. Grab a partner or two and pitch in. Everything is provided, all you have to do is make the coffee and the tea, and cut up and put out pastries. Clean up is not difficult and usually many people are willing to stick around and help.

Please keep in mind, although ECW is overseeing hospitality, this is a function of the whole church. We all partake, therefore, we all need to give back at some point.

What is UTO? It is daily prayers and gifts of thanksgiving, coins and bills from each individual. These gifts are collected and given out as grants for projects through the Anglican Community. The grants help with walkways, handrails, bringing kitchens up to code, roof repair...Give thanks for all of the gifts in your life, no matter how big or small. Give thanks for laughter, for children, good weather, good grades...God gave us these simple pleasures in life so please give a little back to pass on the thanks.

Look for the little blue boxes around the church and fill one up. UTO Sunday is the first Sunday in November. We wil collect the donations at that time.

Thank you in advance for your generous gifts that will go a long way in helping others.
