Church of the Ascension is an active, diverse, and growing Episcopal parish located in Lakewood, Ohio on Cleveland's West side. We are a parish in the Diocese of Ohio, Province V. We provide outreach to the local community through our Community Meal program, partnership with Lakewood Christian Service Center, and other community service groups. We have many spiritually uplifting fellowship events that provide a social environment for meeting and bonding with other parishioners. We have an active Pet Therapy Ministry (Loving Paws), Youth Ministry (EYC), and Shawl Ministry. Our ECW, Episcopal Church Women, is very active and hosts many top-notch and mostly delicious fund raisers per year including the Pie Sale / Cookie Walk, Queen of Hearts Tea, and Canterbury Victorian Tea. We also have a local chapter of The Brotherhood of St. Andrew that hosts an annual Ice Cream Social during the Summer and a Pancake Supper on Shrove (a.k.a. Fat) Tuesday.

Our Sunday morning services feature our absolutely wonderful 20+ member choir accompanied by our new Holtkamp pipe organ. There is little chance of falling asleep during the service.

We believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God. We want to express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We're eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.
