Our Wednesday, March 14 meeting was of great interest to the members when Ann Driscoll, a licensed acupuncturist in Lakewood spoke to the Guild. She gave us background of this 2000-plus year old medical treatment and how it has helped people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, shoulder, neck and back injury pain, arid even told of new strides developing with the brain to relieve various neural diagnoses like Parkinson’s.
The luncheon was our traditional Lenten “brown bag special” and this year dessert was added with a donation of ice cream remaining from last week’s community meal. Teddi Black diligently scooped out all the servings from a very frozen tub of delicious butter cream flavor.

On Wednesday, April 11 at 12:3O on the gym, Afternoon Guild will present the one, the only... no not Groucho but a favorite of the Guild, the one and only Foster Brown from the MetroParks who delighted us last year with his presentation. He returns this year as Doctor Wildweed, an old-time herbalist, telling that within every plant, including those he will bring, there is useful purpose. If he is half as good as last year with his information, humor and role playing he will be outstanding!

Mary Best’s team will provide the meal and the Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers for next year. Please seriously consider accepting a position when asked. You can see from attending meetings that the officers while being dedicated to their positions do not have stressful, demanding duties.

Edna Hackman, telephone chair, will phone members. Other interested women of the parish may phone Edna for a reservation. Please join us!
